Blue Zone Forum has hosted the presentation of a revolutionary project designed to mark a milestone in the container logistics industry, a smart container connected at all times that incorporates satellite technology and that will allow it to be monitored in terms of safety, sustainability, quality and responsibility parameters. The “WiseSmartContainer” is promoted by an international consortium formed weeks ago at the world transport summit in Dubai and which has a Cadiz presence with Bernardino Abad and in which the main sponsor is the company WISeKey in collaboration with the Arab Emirates giant DP World, the largest container terminal operator in the world.
Carlos Moreira himself, founder and CEO of the companies listed on the Nasdaq, WISeKey, promoter of the project, and SEALSQ together with Gunter Pauli, father of the Blue Economy, have addressed the fourth industrial revolution in a dialogue. Both carry out joint work at an international level to obtain concrete results in reducing the carbon footprint, promoting commitment to sustainability and responsible innovation.
In this way, this innovative project wants to be part of sustainable transportation and affordable housing solutions, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the reduction of the carbon footprint.
Commitment to sustainability and efficiency
Under the name WiseSmartContainer, this innovative technological project has been presented that underlines a commitment to sustainability and efficiency in global logistics. This project represents a clear example of how advanced technology and international collaboration can contribute to the sustainable development and future of the logistics industry.
These containers are equipped with cutting-edge technology that allows satellite and ground monitoring of their trajectory and detailed analysis of critical data such as temperature, humidity, presence of gases, the integrity of the contents and the detection of unauthorized access or manipulation.
WISekey's technological innovation includes cybersecurity, smart containers, microprocessors and the development, manufacturing and launch of satellites itself; and is being used by Gunter Pauli for the development of a fleet of solar boats for ecological transportation. This ambitious project requires the development of its own charging equipment, hardware and software, as well as a low-orbit IOT satellite.
This fleet is focused on efficient use of space through storage containers that slide in and out of each other, optimizing space. In addition, they have the ability to float and can be used as affordable housing in developing countries.
Within the framework of this challenge for container transport innovation, an international consortium also called WiseSemartContainer has been formed that integrates leading regional companies, among others the Bernardino Abad Group from Cádiz. This consortium represents an exciting and promising collaboration in the sector.
